AMERICA 250th ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL EVENT
The Appalachian Amateur Radio Group invites you to participate in a month long special event commemorating the 250th birthday of our nation.
A certificate will be issued to any station making contact with thirteen (13) or more Appalachian Amateur Radio Group members during the month of July 2026.
Contacts may be made on HF (shortwave) and/or VHF/UHF including repeaters. No FCC authorized bands or modes are excluded.
Contacts with ‘YL’s (our ladies) count DOUBLE, including unlisted spouses and significant others (write ‘em in) !!! ‘YL’ operators need only count ten contact points to receive a certificate (Yls start with three points in the bag)!
Net Check-In activity is NOT contact. Any listing of net participation will be stricken. Nets MAY be used to co-ordinate contacts.
All logs must be submitted to Harry, KM3D (KM3D at ARRL.net). Email attachments and/or printed reports are acceptable. All must be clearly readable.
All logs must be submitted on or before Saturday, August 15th, 2026 using the offered form or a reasonable facimile thereof.
Qualifying amateurs will be acknowledged and honored at the August AARG meeting and bragging rights will be conferred. Certificates for qualified amateurs not able to attend the August meeting will be folded and mailed in business envelopes after the meeting.
